...our Calistoga capital campaign 2014-2017...new Calistoga Clubhouse opening Fall 2017!
On April 26, 2013 the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Helena and Calistoga voted to begin the planning process for a capital campaign to build a new Clubhouse in Calistoga. This proposed multi-year, multi-million dollar project--"Great Futures Campaign: Building a Positive Place For Kids"-- took its first forward steps in the summer of 2013 with a site exploration task force.
In October of 2014, the Calistoga City Council and Mayor unanimously voted to approve a Memorandum of Understanding to allow the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Helena and Calistoga to build a proposed 14,500sf facility on a City-owned site at 1401 N. Oak Street, located between the community pool and fairgrounds.
WE HAVE SURPASSED THE $9.5 MILLION GOAL !!!! The "campaign for dollars" has completed year two. We gratefully received four significant early leadership gifts to launch the campaign: The Napa Valley Vintners pledged $2 million, Mr. Dario Sattui contributed $1.5 million, the Trinchero family pledged $2.5 million and the Delong-Sweet Family Foundation pledged $250,000. Total raised in contributions and pledges (236 gifts) to date (as of 4-24-17) is $10,308,792. We hope to stretch and "Top Off" to $11.0 million by September 30, 2017. Construction is ongoing! We are roughly 50% complete. Soils and utilities work are done, slabs have been poured, the gym is roofed and interior Clubhouse framing has started. To make your pledge or contribution to "Top Off" our capital campaign, please contact Jay Templeton at 707-963-8944 or LJT@bgcshc.org.
